The problem

You sleep seven hours and wake as if you wrestled the mattress. Neck cranked, a dead arm, low back already arguing — before the day has started.

The close

A two-minute settle: side or back with the spine long, pillows that do one job, and a way off the stomach that does not require becoming someone else.

Positions you can actually hold

Watch the film, then copy the geometry. Education, not treatment — if pain is sharp, new, or one-sided, talk to a clinician.

Why mornings feel older

Waking with a stiff neck, a dead arm, or a sore low back is often geometry, not character. A night position has three jobs: airway open, joints stacked, muscles allowed to stand down. If any one of those fails, you pay in the morning.

Why this works

The spine wants a long line

Side or back, the head, ribs, and pelvis should stack. A pillow's job is to fill a gap — neck, knees, or a hugged chest — not to build a throne under the skull.

Airway likes the side

Lying on the back can narrow the airway for some people and make snoring louder. Side-lying with a long neck is often the kinder default. Loud snoring, gasping, or morning headaches belong with a clinician, not a new pillow.

Stomach sleeping is a twist

Face-down rotates the neck for hours and lets the low back sag. You do not need a new identity. You need a pillow to hug so rolling onto the side is the easier next move.

The sequence

Check them off as you install them.

  1. Choose a side

    Tonight

Pick left or right and stay there as the default. Switching all night is a sport. A side is a decision.

  2. Pillow between the knees

    2 min

Keeps the top hip from rolling the spine. A spare bed pillow is enough. No special product required.

  3. Fill the neck, not the sky

    1 min

The rest of the sequence opens on a 3-night trial, or €19 once.

  4. Hug something

  5. If you wake on your front
